What should I wear?

Your visit is all about relaxation and pampering, so please come in what’s comfortable. At most of our locations, we provide robes, towels, sandals, shower facilities, select toiletry items and lockers. To learn about specific amenities at each location, please ask our Guest Reservations Specialist. When coming in for a pedicure, we recommend open–toed sandals and loose pants. For comfort and safety, we suggest you leave jewelry and valuables at home.

When should I arrive?

Please check in 20 minutes prior to the start of your appointment. This will give you plenty of time to change, and start enjoying the spa environment. We offer a cup of herbal tea and an aromatic foot bath at most of our locations.

Where will I change?

Our spa is equipped with a luxurious dressing suite complete with lockers, restroom, and vanity area.

What if I need to cancel an appointment?

These things happen! If you find yourself unable to keep an appointment, we request a 24 hour notice. Guests who do not honor their appointments or cancel in less than 24 hours may be charged a cancellation fee.

What if I’m late for my appointment?

It’s possible we may have to shorten or reschedule your appointment. If your treatment is shortened, it will end on time so that the next guest will not be delayed. We hope you understand.

Is there someone who can help me decide how to choose my treatments?

 Our Guest Services Specialists are very knowledgeable about all of our services. They will help you select the perfect treatment. We also have Special Reservations Coordinators who can help you reserve a package or group service.

How far in advance do I need to schedule?

Weekend services are typically reserved one to two weeks in advance for a single service, and three to five weeks in advance for package reservations. Single weekday appointments can usually be accommodated in one to two weeks while weekday package reservations require two to three weeks advance notice. As availability often varies, we are more than happy to check on any scheduling request.

What if I have special health considerations?

Please notify our Guest Services Specialist when reserving your appointment if you have high blood pressure, allergies, or other physical ailments or if you are pregnant or have any disabilities. If you are having waxing, please let us know if you are taking any antibiotics. You will also be asked to complete a medical questionnaire prior to your treatment.

What do I wear during my treatment?

Spa robes are provided for you to wear during your visit. Massage and Body care services are enjoyed without clothing — careful draping procedures are observed at all times. Facial gowns are provided for those having skin care services.

What about my jewelry and valuables?

We recommend you leave your jewelry and watches at home. Unfortunately, we’re not able to take responsibility for your valuables while you are at the spa.

Should I shave prior to my spa service?

We recommend that you do not shave before any of our exfoliating services, which may irritate freshly shaven skin. All other spa services will not be affected whether you shave or not. We do recommend men shave prior to their facial.

Are children permitted in the spa?

For the comfort of all our guests and the enjoyment of your experience, children are not permitted in our spa.

Do you allow cell phones and pagers?

In order to maintain our peaceful atmosphere, we request that you turn off your cell phone and/or pager when visiting our spa.

What methods of payment do you accept?

Payment is made at the end of your visit at the check-out desk. We accept VISA, MasterCard, debit cards or cash as forms of payment. Personal checks must contain an in–state address with a valid PA or MD State ID. If a WARMSPRINGS Gift Card is your form of payment, we request that you bring your gift card with you and present it to Guest Services upon check-out.



Should I wash my hair before coloring it or getting an updo?

No. Washing the hair strips away its natural oils. When adding color or creating an updo, the natural oils in the hair give it better holding properties and make it easier to work with.

Should I ask my stylist questions?

Yes! Getting the perfect haircut is all about communication. You talk. We listen. We offer leadership, knowledge and expertise and variety of style. Think about the following when talking to your stylist:

 What do you like best about your hair?

 What don’t you like about your hair?

 What problems need to be addressed?

 What are your length considerations?

 Do you have pictures that accurately described your desired look?

 How do you currently style your hair and how much time do you spend styling?

How long should I grow my hair before waxing?

For optimum results, hair should be one-quarter of an inch in length.




Why do prices vary?

 As a result of their achievements and client demand, our professionals work at three levels: artistic, senior, and master. While prices vary accordingly, every WARMSPRINGS specialist has a minimum of 5 years industry experience and is extremely talented. Whatever level you seek, you'll enjoy superior service with a touch to make your day.

How much should I tip?

Tipping for services at a salon and spa is typically handled as you would be tipping for service in a restaurant. Generally 10-20% of the total service is appropriate, depending upon how you feel the quality of service was.

What if I am late for my appointment?

If you are late for your scheduled appointment, we will try to accommodate you, but please understand that your appointment may need to be rescheduled or time adjusted.

My favorite service providers are always so busy. How can I be sure they are available when it's convenient for me?

Many of our most popular service providers are industry leaders and maintain a steady clientèle. To guarantee an appointment with your favorite provider, simply schedule it well in advance, even if that means scheduling it before leaving the salon. This guarantees availability with your service provider at a date and time that is most convenient to you.

Do you offer spa packages?

Yes. We also invite you to build your own service package so you may choose those services that interest you most. Our staff can help you book several appointments together for a full or half day experience and also recommend services that work well together.
